Consultations on changing names and gender marker
- You want to change your gender marker and/or first names and you are unsure if you can use the self-determination law (SBGG)?
- You have questions about the gender marker “various” (“divers” in german) or the cancelation of the gender marker?
- You want to know more about the legal and political situation around changing your first name and gender marker?
For whom?
We offer psychosocial and professional consultations for everyone who has personal and professional questions about changing first name/s and gender marker, about the gender marker “various” and the deletion of the gender marker.
How?
Consultation can take place in person or via email, phone or video call.
Where?
For a personal consultation we usually meet in the TrIQ rooms at Gürtelstraße 35, 10247 Berlin Friedrichshain. You reach us by elevator to the 5th floor. There are a few steps up to the entrance. We also do not have wheelchair-accessible at the moment. If you want to come to a counseling in person and the rooms are not accessible for you, please contact us anyway – we can meet somewhere else.
In which languages?
Consultations can take place in German and English (spoken language) as well as in other languages with language mediation. If you need a consultation in a other language than German and English, please let us know, so we can organize an interpreter.
When?
The easiest way to make an appointment for counseling is via email. If you want, you can also briefly tell us your questions or topics, so we can prepare for our meeting. If you do not have concrete questions yet, just come as you are.
